Bob Boyd
Bob, President & owner, has worked in the garden center
business since 1967. He graduated from the Stockbridge School
of Agriculture in 1973 and continued working at Conley’s
Garden Center until 1982 when Bob & Kitty bought the Boothbay
Region Greenhouses. Bob has been president of the Maine State
Florist’s & Grower’s Association and is a
founding director of the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.
He manages the Greenhouse & Garden Center. He is a Maine
Master Florist and is the recipient of the Maine State Florists’
& Growers’ Association’s (MSFGA) Ed Johnson
Award (1996) and the 1999 Member of the Year Award. Not only
does he manage the garden center, but he also loves to decorate
for weddings and parties.

Kitty Boyd
Vice President & owner, Kitty oversees the bookkeeping,
florist shop & tuxedo areas of the business. Kitty is
a Maine Master Florist, past editor of the MSFGA newsletter, Treasurer
of the Maine Unit of Teleflora, and recipient of the 2002
MSFGA Ed Johnson Award. A commentator and auctioneer, she
has worked for MSFGA at the Fryeburg Fair and Skowhegan Fair
and also at the Portland Flower Show. She is a director of
the First National Bank of Damariscotta, President of the
Boothbay Region AFS Chapter, and is President of the
Boothbay Region YMCA.
You can often find Kitty decorating with balloons at the high
school at graduation time and at the YMCA for their annual
dinner and for Halloween. |

Sue Crafts
Sue is the person keeping everyone on task in the greenhouses. She supervises the planting of all our annuals & takes care of all our houseplants. She is a master at designing dish gardens and plant baskets for the florist shop and unique planter combinations for the garden. |

B.J. Dobson
B.J. is our perennial expert! She orders them, then plants
and sells them. Not a day goes by when she does not research
and read something new about perennials. Our “Queen
of Perennials” has worked with us for over 10 years.
She is an avid gardener & bird enthusiast. B.J. and Nancy
also manage our wreath shipping business |

Linda Guite
Linda has been with us for 8 years now, doing everything from transplanting perennials to helping customers to wreath decorating. A part timer in the off seasons, she puts many hours in here during the busy planting season. |

DeDee Ayers
DeDee joins us this year from Conley's, where she worked for over 20 years. She brings a vast amount of knowledge in both the garden center & florist shop areas. Look for her in both places this summer! |

Don Celler
Don joined us in 2004. You will often see him delivering flowers around town. He was one of our "Men in Black" on Valentine's Day. Don is also a great help around the garden center, whether it is watering plants or constructing displays for our Christmas Greenhouse. |

Florist Shop Staff: |

Roberta Blaney
Roberta is the smiling person that usually greets you in the florist shop. She is always good-natured & helpful. Knowledgable in both plants & flowers, she manages the florist shop & the florist shop sales staff. She also is the florsit shop gift buyer. |
|
Mary Hatch
Mary is our office/sales/tuxedo person. She is often the
person that answers the phone. In charge of customer accounts,
she can answer most billing questions. Mary is a “doer”,
and she is always bustling about…cleaning…straightening
things…making beta bowls…designing paperwhite
sets, etc. As our tuxedo manager, she coordinates all of the
ins & outs of the tuxedos, including alterations. |

Bella Nightingale
Bella creates the majority of our daily fresh design work.
She is a Maine Professional Certified Florist and has designed
for the public at the Portland Flower Show. Whether she is
painting, doing crafts or designing at our shop, her art background
shows through clearly. Bella also designs most of our permanent
botanicals and Christmas silks. |

Gloria Taliana
Gloria is our angel. She helps us out at holidays & on weekends - bringing sanity back to our busy shop and doing whatever needs to be done from waiting on customersto wrapping plants to washing flower buckets. |
